As if you followed a berber trader into an underground souk but got lost in an opium den along the way, this tape will lead you to a mysterious place you never planned on visiting. Layers of dirty synths float on top of soft noise, field recordings, and distant drum beats. Melodies emerge and fade away to mesmerize and confound. If you listen close enough you’ll hear the buzz of the souk — or some distant cacophony of voices and laughter — telling the sordid story of this far off place and its shifty characters.
